Purple Reigns!

Purple is my most favorite color, yet I don't have that many purple in my wardrobe.

I wore this outfit last saturday. Went to the theater to see Angels and Demons. Pretty good movie, better the The Da Vinci Code I have to say. But that's maybe because I didn't read the book beforehand, while I read the DaVinci Code before I watched the movie and disappointed. I tend to get disappointed when watching a movie after I read the book (if it were based on a book) except of course LOTR trilogy and Great Expectation.

It's Not an All Night Fair*

Someone emailed with a question: Do you really wear those outfits to go out here in Jakarta?
Well, my answer is YES. I do wear all the outfits I posted on this blog outside and not just for photo shoot for blogging purpose. And as the answer for the specific outfits in question: I wore the outfit on "Hey Mr. DJ, Start Your Music!" to go out with friends, having dinner and hanging out for some drinks afterward. As for the outfit on my last post "Dude, Where's My Spaceship?", I wore it to the Sky Dining, a restaurants complex at the rooftop of a mall in Jakarta with a friend and then went out clubbing with my boys (my room mates) till waaay passed the break of dawn *grin*.
Having that said, I also feel like I need to make a small clarification that I don't always look like that. I don't always dress up with towering high heels every single day. I have (many) days filled with just slip dress, jeans, skirt, boy beater (boy, I love white boy beaters), and flats (though flats don't help my short frame at all LOL).

Dude, Where's My Spaceship?

The structured shoulder really make me feel like I just got out of Star Trek spaceship :D

these pictures were taken on the evening of last Saturday. But with the death of malena, i couldn't post them right away. sorry for that, people. i hope you don't leave me because of the lack of update :D.

The top is one of the things I scored at the bazaar last time. I instantly fell in love because of the shoulder cut and also the panelling on the hem.

On the side note, I bought a new laptop. A Macbook Pro. Yay!!! But I won't be able to get my hands on it before June 6th, because it is shipped from the US. So, bear with me. Hopefully I will resume my blogging activities by then.

Good and Bad News

Good News: I am back! Been working (and playing) soooo hard for a good 9 days. But now I am back in the capital. Catching up sleep, hanging out with friends and taking care some other work I left. Most excitedly I can start taking pictures of my outfit.

Bad News: Malena, my 15" Powerbook G4 of six years is completely dead this morning. This will hinder my blogging activities a little bit. But I am still going to fulfill my words to you'll that I will post 'what i wear' this weekend. So, stay tune!

Hey Mr. DJ, Start The Music!

Yeah, I feel like dancing to 80s music by the time I put on this outfit....

Let me tell you a little bit about the top. A few days ago I was invited by my friend who is a bag designer to an invitation-only bazaar opening night. But unpredictably I had a lot of work during the day that I didn't have more energy to go. I just wanted to go home and have some R&R. But I haven't met her in a long time that I felt like I have to go. I finally dragged myself to go to the event. It was a good decision. The bazaar was filled with lotsa good stuff from local indie designers and lotsa beautiful and cool people. I literally went bonkers. I scored 4 pieces of clothing from two different designers. I bought this blue top from two young designers (they were sisters!). The label is called ruph, and actually it was their first showcase. They don't have a store yet and are still working on a concept for their website. I actually pre-order two more pieces from them. Can't wait for them.

P.S.: Sorry for posting so many pictures. I just can't decide :D

Oh...wait, while I am at it, I will be on hiatus for a little while. Will be gone out of town for work 'till May 12th. See y'all!
